Riddle Sylvari
Riddle Sylvari Childhood
From the first glance of her animal skin and fur baby blanket, you would
think that she would belong in the arms of the Forsworn. You would be
very wrong. Born to Lyre Sylvari and Vander Sylvari on the 15th of
Morning Star. Riddle was born in the town of Rorikstead. Her parents had
been struggling to have a child for quite some time, and Riddle was the
answer to their prayers. Their prayers would soon be ripped away when
meeting a bad surprise. One day when Riddle’s parents were taking their
weekly trip to Whiterun for a trip to go shopping, they were met with the
Forsworn. Outnumbered, and worrying for the safety of their daughter,
they were frozen in their tracks. No one around to help them, and only
the sound of birds chirping in the distance... The Forsworn demanded
that they hand over Riddle. It was known at the time that the Forsworn’s
numbers were dwindling and they were looking to gather new members
to raise. Riddle’s parents refused and tried to run. Lyre took a stray arrow
to her chest and Vander soon followed. Riddle’s body hit the ground and
was quickly swept up... The Forsworn now to raise her.
Riddle Sylvari Teenage Life
Even before Riddle was a teenager, she knew she didn’t belong amongst
the Forsworn. She watched as her clan mates would get their different
assignments and practice using their bows and swords, and realized that
something felt off. Everyone felt naturally like a family, whereas Riddle
felt like an outcast. When she hit 13, they started having her join in on
the practice and gave her, her very first bow. In a clan meeting, they
discussed pick-pocketing and the how-tos and whatnots. Riddle became
intrigued and wanted to learn more. She realized she wanted to branch
off away from the Forsworn and become a solo thief and assassin. The
adrenaline in her veins was rushing at the idea. One night after dinner,
Riddle overheard some clan-mates discussing a murder they had
orchestrated in the past and how they brought a newborn to the clan
about “19” years ago. Riddle put two and two together and confronted
them pulling out her bow. Shaking with fear, the two clan members
confessed. Riddle’s worst fears come to the light, and she abandons the
Forsworn. Leaving the Forsworn was a crime and a dishonor. Riddle
became the enemy instantly. There was no time to change your mind.
Once you are leaving, you’re gone.
The Forsworn and the Help
Upon leaving the Forsworn, all weapons became turned on her. Knives,
bows, torches, anything that can hurt and wound – Riddle was the target.
A passerby was hunting and noticed the chaos taking place. He was
following an Elk but quickly gave that up to watch the action. Noticing
that someone was watching from behind a rock, Riddle felt some sort of
hope that maybe she had someone on her side and felt some relief.
Riddle explained that the truth was told to her by her parents, her
true family and that she wouldn’t stand by the people who killed them.
At this point, the man behind the rock got up and starting twirling around
with his daggers and slashing people. Riddle went into a mode she never
knew she had and used her bow for the very first time. On the people,
she thought she had loved.Heavy breathing and blood sprayed against her body she
introduced herself. Her name, Riddle. He laughed because well...his name was Joker.
Companionship
After the incident with the Forsworn, Joker never left Riddle’s side. Keeping her company town after town, the two always fought enemies no matter what it was. The pair was not one to laugh at or be messed with. Joker and Riddle made a vow to try and take down as many Forsworn camps as they can to try and prevent what happened to Riddle from happening to any other person again. Riddle has a hard time trusting others and at this time she does not see it necessary to hire anyone else. Maybe with time, she will bring along more people to the team if she deems them trustworthy.
Goals
Riddle would like to eventually get married. It is not the first thing on her
mind. She would like to eliminate as many Forsworn as possible, become
a great thief/assassin and maybe settle down in Riften or build a house.
